Dear parishioners:
Blessings to you on WORLD MISSION SUNDAY 2007
There are some important dates coming up in the fall I need you to know
about.

ADVENT ‘MINI
RETREAT’ WITH FATHER GABRIEL, O.P.
On Tuesday Nov 27, Wed. Nov 28, and Thurs. Nov 29 Fr. Gabriel from the
Dominican Fathers will be here for an evening mini retreat, or Triduum.
His talk will be at 7:30 pm each evening, and will end with Adoration and
the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
We look forward to this spiritual preparation for the Advent period.

FRANCOIS KOH
CONCERT
On Saturday November 24th, at 7:30 pm we will be having a special concert
in the Church organized by Francois Koh. He is the young Korean classical
guitarist who plays at Tuesday morning Masses. Francois was trained in
France as an orchestra conductor, and has a group of young Korean
musicians whom he will direct. I will also be playing at this event, with
Francis Apacible, a grade seven student-violinist at Ecole
Notre-dame-de-Fatima. We will be splitting the concert proceeds: our
parish will receive half of the proceeds, which will go toward helping our
WORLD YOUTH DAY 2008 pilgrims.
Come out and support Francois and our WYD effort.

ARCHBISHOP
TO ARRIVE AT OUR LADY OF FATIMA PARISH
On Sunday November 25th, one of our two Archbishops will be here for
Evening vespers at 7:00 pm. We were chosen among the Parishes of the New
Westminster Deanery to be the host Parish for the gathering. The two
Archbishops are going to be leading vespers in the different deaneries, to
help prepare the people for the World Eucharistic Congress to be held in
Quebec City in June 2008.
Your help is needed for this event: I will need donations of finger
food brought to the reception in our Parish hall afterwards, (please sign
up on the list) and a group of volunteers to help set up the reception,
and to do tidy up after the reception (sign up on the other list).
This will be a beautiful opportunity to pray together, on the very Sunday
when the year’s liturgical year comes to its culmination: Christ the King
Sunday.

Blessings to all of you,

Fr. Patrick B. Tepoorten, Pastor
