Tithing

The concept of tithing dates far back in history.  It was considered a duty to give 10% of one's earnings to support the activities of the Church.  Although this practice is still in usage today, financial burdens have increased for all of us and many find it difficult if not impossible to manage their affairs with as much as 90% of their earnings.  Our Lady of Fatima Parish bears the brunt of such financial hardships.  

To meet the needs and wishes of our parishioners, we have been blessed with many volunteers who freely give of their time, energy and expertise yet, for some things, money is the only obstacle to overcome.  To that end, we have several on-going fund-raising events and programs that try to raise the necessary funds we need to meet our objectives.

We strive to develop programs and events similar to where many of our parishioners spend their money to the benefit of others outside our parish community.  If you are going to spend some of your hard-earned money somewhere, why not direct it to your own parish's needs.
